Clark WILLIman

Lead pastor

Pastor Clark grew up in Van Wert. He met Deb in “typing” class at Van Wert High School - but it took him three years to ask her out for their first date. They were married within a year after that first date, on August 3, 1974. Together, they managed the local Christian Bookstore and in 1984, they purchased the store and continued with the business for an additional five years. In 1979, Clark and Deb became youth leaders at Calvary and served in that position for seven years. During that time, Clark sensed God calling him into full-time ministry and in March of 1986, Clark was hired by Calvary to serve as Youth Pastor, where he served for the next fourteen years. In 2000, Clark shifted ministry focus from Youth Pastor to Adult and Family Pastor, serving there until January of 2010, when he accepted the position of Lead Pastor of the church. Clark gets excited to see God move and work out His plan in individual lives and in the life of His Church.

Because of his long history with Calvary, Clark is firmly committed to the church’s vision and mission and loves to equip and prepare God’s people to find their “niche” in the body and use their gifts and abilities to serve Christ both within the church and outside the church. His heart’s desire is to ignite a fire of passion for Christ in the Church and to see God’s purposes fulfilled in the lives of devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Clark received his Bachelor of Science Degree through Liberty University, and earned a Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Trinity Theological Seminary. He and Debbie have two terrific daughters, Carrie and Corrie, two great sons-in-law, Bruce and Mark, and six fantastic grandkids, Maddie, Charlie, Spencer, Sydnie, Hallie and Riley. When he’s not studying or preparing a message, you will find Clark spending time with his grandkids or sneaking off to get lost in a good novel or mystery while enjoying a giant Coke ICEE with peanut M&M’s. (God’s perfect snack)
